Why I Finally Wrote a Cookbook

I created this book after years of trial and error, as many of you know from watching me hack my way around the kitchen on social media before and through COVID.

Over time, I adapted my lifestyle to live anti-inflammatory, and now in my 50s, I feel better than I did in my 20s. I wanted to share these recipes with everyone who just wants to feel better and cook delicious, uncomplicated food for themselves and the people they love. Post-chemotherapy in my 30’s and living with Hashimoto’s, I never felt quite right. It turned out the problem was hiding in what I was eating, foods full of seed oils, cane sugar, gums, and other additives. By simply reading labels and cutting down the processed ingredients I was putting into my body (and feeding my family), everything changed. My brain fog cleared, my energy came back, and I’ve truly never felt better.

As a working mom, I don’t have time for complicated dishes. Included in Trust Your Gut is 100+ direct recipes that come with a photo for every single one (because I’m visual, and I want you to see what you’re making).
