Tropical salad packed with romaine, green and purple cabbage, celery, avocado, mango, carrot, red onion, banana pepper, raw sunflower seeds, cilantro and chorizo tuna.

Spicy Tropical Vibe Salad

For lunch today, I went for as much color as I could. The result was this Spicy Tropical Vibe Salad with romaine, cabbage, celery, red onion, carrot, mango, avocado, sunflower seeds, cilantro, and chorizo tuna, topped with my JF Simple Mustard Vinaigrette and JF Curry Salt. Serves 1. 


Romaine, chopped
Green cabbage, sliced thin on the mandoline
Purple cabbage, sliced thin on the mandoline
1 stalk of celery, chopped
¼ avocado, chopped
½ mango, chopped
Carrot, chopped
Red onion, chopped
Banana peppers, chopped
Raw sunflower seeds
Cilantro, coarsely chopped
1 package Wild Planet Chorizo Tuna, flaked
JF Simple Mustard Vinaigrette, to taste
JF Curry Salt, to taste


In a large dish, using the romaine and cabbage as a base, begin to build your salad. Layer in the celery, avocado, mango, carrot, red onion, banana peppers, sunflower seeds, and cilantro. Top with Wild Planet’s Chorizo Tuna, toss in my JF Simple Mustard Vinaigrette, and finish with JF Curry Salt. Serve alongside plantain chips and enjoy!
